iBasso DC02 with DAC AKM AK4490
The interface of the iBasso DC02 cable operates a 32-bit AKM AK4490EQ DAC chip capable of decoding up to 384kHz audio stream (PCM) and DSD256 natively.
It incorporates Velvet Sound technology capable of reconstructing audio signals – even bass – with amazing clarity while offering natural reproduction across a wide bandwidth.

Headphone Amplifier
In the additional AKM AK4490 chip, the iBasso DC02 includes a second headphone amplifier with chip.
The latter can cause the 32Ω controller to be charged with an output level of 900mV. It is a sufficient power reserve, essentially earphones built for portable or medium use.
The DAC circuit and the headphone amplifier circuit achieve an extremely low THD of 0.001% (measured at maximum load 32Ω 0.9Vrms).

Far from being limited to smartphones and tablets, the iBasso DC02 also works as a decoder for computers with Windows, Linux or Mac operating systems.
This requires a USB-C female to USB-A male adapter to provide a fast connectivity solution to multiple types of sources.

Parece ser que soy el primer en valorar este pequeño adaptador de iBasso por aquí. Lo estaba esperando desde que salió el DC01, y en cuanto vi la preorder no me pude resistir.
Es de muy pequeño tamaño, y por lo tanto, de muy cómodo transporte. Su construcción se ve muy buena, en metal, y el cable de calidad. No se puede poner ninguna pega en este sentido.
Respecto al sonido, sabiendo que esto es un tema muy personal, para mí es estupendo. Un realce de calidad y potencia en cualquier ordenador portátil o móvil en el que lo he probado. Me gusta incluso más que el sonido que da mi DAP, bastante más caro. Por lo que en este sentido, igualmente, genial.
Respecto a su compatibilidad es donde encuentro algún problema, que en realidad no es tal, es simplemente una limitación con mis teléfonos móviles actuales. El funcionamiento es estupendo en Windows 10 y en Mac OS usando el conversor a USB que trae, y también funciona muy bien en los 2 móviles con conector USB-C que he podido probar (Xiaomi Mi A2 y un Samsung Galaxy A5). El problema es que yo quería utilizar mi teléfono, con micro-USB a través de un adaptador OTG. Y así no funciona correctamente: el teléfono detecta el DC02, pero una vez empieza a reproducir música, da igual la aplicación que utilices, el sonido se corta contínuamente. Esto no es achacable al DC02, entiendo que el culpable de esto es el adaptador USB-C a micro-USB, ya que conectando directamente por USB-C a teléfonos compatibles no he llegado a encontrar ningún problema.
Me tocará cambiar de móvil, aunque para eso tendré que esperar un poco más.
En resumen: muy, muy recomendable.

De momento solo lo he usado con el móvil y unos beyerdinamic idx200 pero parece que cumplen. Cómo punto negativo creo que la batería del móvil se resiente un poco si haces escuchas intensivas….

Hombre, si un Samsung, Sony o Xiaomi rara vez pasan de 0.3V-0.4V por la salida de auriculares y el DC02 saca 0.9V más el consumo normal del DAC… por desgracia las baterías de teléfono están sujetas a las leyes de la termodinámica.
